NetBeans is proud to announce the availability of NetBeans IDE 4.0 plugin for Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8 Update 1. The plugin is available from NetBeans IDE 4.0 Update Center and it tightly integrates NetBeans IDE with SJS Applications Server. It supports Web tier applications (JSP and Servlets) development, deployment and debugging for Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8 Update 1.In order to use it you have to have Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8 Update 1 installed on your system as well as J2SE 1.4.2 that is required by the server to run on. Desktop Java Live: Weekly Update

Well the last week didn't go as planned. I was smacked down with a cold/flu. I did manage to get Chapter 4 off to a first round of technical edit but I have a few more pages to add this week. This week should consist of technical editing on that chapter as well as finishing up Chapter 3. I'm also going to start the look and feel chapter this week. Finally, I'm going to post an outline of the Threading chapter this week for comments. My goal at the moment will be to have the first draft of it done by the first week of January or so.
