What is logged

Like every web server, ours writes a standard access log: the address the request came from, the page requested, the time, the browser's user-agent string and the referring page. The logs are used to keep the site running and to block abusive traffic. They are deleted automatically after two weeks and are never sold or shared.

The search runs in your browser: the list of matching pages is worked out on your computer. When you search from the box at the top of a page, your browser opens the search page with your words in its address (/search.html?q=…), so they appear in our access log like any other address and are deleted with it after two weeks.

E-mail

If you write to us, we use your e-mail only to reply. It is not added to any list.
